“So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it may be found to result in praise and glory and honour at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
1 Peter 1:6-7
There is precious praise and incense that you can offer to God in a season of trial, loss or stagnancy that you cannot offer Him in seasons of blessing and increase. The difference is the COST that comes with praise BEFORE breakthrough.
When we adopt the God-given ‘heavenly perspective’ to know that we were made for an ETERNAL life with Jesus, our eyes awaken to see circumstances for what they truly are in light of the ‘big picture’: temporary and fading. We also awaken to see God for who He truly is in the midst of it all and trusting Him becomes easier. Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the secret to peace and prosperity in all seasons because He is THE ONLY true firm foundation.
So, be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while.
