It has been an extraordinary journey becoming part of the HBC family. It has felt like coming home to a familiar place that feels right. I believe this is not because of the building, the nice carpet or lilac walls, but praise the Lord, because the holy spirit is welcome and at work in us.
I would like to share something I read recently. Barclay wrote that it is quite possible to see the unhappiness of others and to think – perhaps even unconsciously, that it has nothing to do with us. However, we must learn to act for the help of others. Seeing and feeling should turn into action, and that is so for a very special reason. In that “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine” said Jesus, “you did for me”. (Matt 25:40)
I believe God has called my wife Anita and I to HBC, I have had nothing but confirmation that I am where I should be. I look forward to collectively sharing these blessings with you, those who join us and with anyone else that I can. I look ahead to what God will do and as Gary says…love you guys.
